The Shaar Ashamayim Synagogue, whose name means “Gate of Heaven,” is located in the Alsancak district of İzmir. It serves the Jewish community in the modern commercial heart of the city.
As one of the synagogues affiliated with the İzmir Jewish Community Foundation, Shaar Ashamayim continues to be a place of worship and community gathering, connecting the traditions of the past with the daily life of İzmir’s Jewish community today.
